Absolutely! We specialize in bringing beauty to you. Our hair and makeup stylists bring everything necessary to make you and your party picture perfect.
Are trials available?
Yes. Pre-event trials are held at our studio in Catonsville, MD on Tuesdays by appointment only. We will try to accommodate anyone from out of town and other extraneous circumstances when possible. Because of weddings, trials are not offered on weekends.
What should I expect at my trial?
Your trial is your time to meet your stylists and together create your most beautiful wedding day you! Pictures of your likes and dislikes help you to design the perfect hair and makeup style for you. For hair, your texture, density, color, and growth patterns will be evaluated to help to determine your final style. For makeup, your skin type, undertone, eye and hair color, and any allergies or special considerations will go into determining the methods, techniques and products used. The big picture including you dress, flowers and overall wedding theme will be included to make sure that everything fits together seamlessly.
Trials are approximately 30-40 minutes in length. Hair trials typically include up to two style variations. Makeup trials include one complete look and any tweaking necessary within the time allotted. Not set on one look yet? No worries? We can always schedule another trial to play again!
TIP: Wearing a white tube top or tank with a neckline similar to your dress helps you to get a true idea of how everything will look. The color of your top can sometimes reflect unwanted tones with your makeup (ex: a red top can exaggerate redness in the skin).
What should I do on the day of to be ready for you?
You should…
...not shampoo. Day old dry hair is our canvas to create for you.
...not flat iron. Hair tends to develop a “memory”, and can be resistant to holding a curl
once it has been straightened. In some cases, it will not hold any curl. Better safe than sorry!
...bring pictures of any style that you like. This goes for hair and makeup!
...wear a button down shirt, or a tank that can be pulled down for changing.
...relax and enjoy your big day!
